Many years ago when wedding cakes were fruit cakes covered in marzipan, fondant and the most intricately detailed lacework, I used to have a business designing and making wedding cakes and bridal jewellery. It was a great passion of mine and I loved my work. But raising children was a greater love and I made the decision to leave it behind to be a mum and raise two beautiful boys.

Now my children are grown I find I have come full circle back to where I started and with my partner (who just happens to be an amazing chef) am back in business in my happy place designing and creating once more at Aleandra's Kitchen in Ocean Grove.

Although wedding cakes have now moved on to the most sumptuous flavours (great for those who never really liked fruit cake), the joy of creating still gives me the same buzz as it did all those years ago. Whether it is cakes, cupcakes, cookies, cake pops or desserts or a combination of all of these, it is the process of creating with the greatest attention to detail where I am most happy and it is my absolute pleasure (and privilege) to be able to do this for you.
